Nikkah gifts for the couple
Pieces used at the nikkah itself — ring trays and pens for the signing — and hampers for the newlyweds.
Nikkah gifts for the bride
For her: a hamper for the bride-to-be and fresh floral jewellery to wear on the day. Bridal bouquets have their own page.
Nikkah gifts for the groom
For him: the boutonniere he wears and a men's hamper — grooming, cologne and flowers — from the bride's side or a friend.
The nikkah bouquet
The bouquet the bride carries at the signing, PKR 4,000 to PKR 6,500, arranged on the morning of the nikkah and matched to her outfit. Every bridal bouquet, crown and boutonniere is on bridal bouquets in Lahore.
What a nikkah gift is for
The nikkah is the marriage contract, signed by the bride and groom before witnesses — the religious heart of a Pakistani wedding. In Pakistan, guests traditionally give the couple money or a gift. Cash from close relatives is called salami, given as a blessing; a gift for both of them is the other choice, and it is the one a friend or a relative abroad can send.
The gifts that belong to the nikkah are the ones used at it. A ring tray holds the rings until they are exchanged; a decorated pen, or a pair for the bride and groom, is used to sign the nikahnama and can be kept afterwards. Ours range from PKR 800 to PKR 15,000 for the couple, made to order for the date, with fresh flowers arranged on the morning of the nikkah. A hamper for the newlyweds — flowers, chocolates, a candle and a handwritten note — is the gift that suits any family.
For the bride, a nikkah gift can be something for the day itself: the bouquet she carries, or fresh floral jewellery to wear. For the groom, a boutonniere for his lapel or a men's hamper. The walima that follows is traditionally hosted by the groom's family; a hamper or flowers sent to the couple for it is the same order, just a different date. Our wedding gift etiquette guide covers how much to give by relationship, and the nikkah card wording ideas help with what to write on the card.
For the friend who can't be there
Sent from the United States · September 2026
She could not fly back for the nikkah, so she asked us to make the ring tray and pen and have them there on the day.
If you are in London, Dubai or Toronto on the day, the gift can still be at the nikkah. Pay from your own country by Remitly, Taptap Send or an international bank transfer — no Pakistani bank account needed — tell us the date and the address, and approve a photo of the finished piece before it leaves the studio. The card carries your words and your name. Read more on sending wedding gifts to Pakistan; if you are the groom, see gifts for your fiancée.

What gift do you give at a nikkah?
There is no single rule. In Pakistan, guests traditionally give the couple money — salami, a cash gift given as a blessing — or a gift. A close friend can choose something used at the nikkah itself, such as a ring tray or decorated pens for the signing, or a hamper for the newlyweds. Our nikkah gifts for the couple cost PKR 800 to PKR 15,000.
Do you give gifts at a nikah?
Yes, it is customary to give the couple something at a nikah — cash or a gift — though families differ on what and how much. If you are not sure, a gift for both of them, such as a ring tray, pens or a hamper with a card in your name, suits any family. For what to give by relationship, see our Pakistani wedding gift etiquette guide.
What is a good nikkah gift for the bride?
Something she carries or wears on the day: a bridal bouquet (PKR 4,000 to PKR 6,500), a fresh floral jewellery set, or a hamper for the bride-to-be. A bouquet or floral jewellery can be matched to her outfit if you send us a photo.
Nikah or nikkah — which spelling is right?
Both. They are two English spellings of the same Urdu and Arabic word for the marriage contract. Pakistani shops usually write nikkah; UK and US Islamic sites often write nikah. Search either and you mean the same ceremony.
Can you deliver a nikkah gift on the day, to the venue?
In Lahore, yes — we can time delivery to a window you choose. A home address is safer than a venue, because halls rarely accept anything before the event; if it has to be the venue, tell us and we coordinate with the hall. Delivery in Lahore is charged from PKR 500 by area.
What is a nikkah pen for?
Signing the nikahnama, the marriage contract, at the nikkah. A decorated pen — or a pair, one for the bride and one for the groom — can be kept afterwards as a keepsake of the signing, and it is a gift a close friend or a sibling can arrange.
